These Terms of Use govern your use of the UKKI website, apps and services. UKKI is operated by UKKI Autotech Private Limited (CIN U62099TN2026PTC188313), a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu ("UKKI", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using UKKI you agree to these terms, to the Privacy Policy and to the Payment Policy, each in the version in force when you use them.
01.What UKKI is
UKKI is an online marketplace on which private sellers and registered dealerships list used cars, and on which buyers, including dealerships, make offers and complete purchases. Unless a listing says the seller is UKKI, UKKI is not the owner or seller of any car. UKKI arranges inspections, verification, agreements, the handling of payment, documentation, logistics and registration transfer through its own staff and through partner firms it appoints, as described in these terms.
02.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. A dealership or other business must be registered with UKKI as a partner, and a person acting for it confirms that they are authorised to bind it.
03.Your account
Your mobile number is your sign-in, confirmed by a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone and account secure and for everything done through your account. The information you give us must be accurate, complete and your own. Tell us at once if you think somebody else has used your account.
04.Identity verification
Before you can start a deal you must complete the identity checks UKKI requires, which may include Aadhaar through DigiLocker, PAN, a bank account in your name and a liveness check. Each check asks for your consent under the KYC Consent Notice. UKKI may refuse, suspend or close an account where a check fails, where information appears false, or where the law requires it.
05.Listing a car
When you list a car you confirm that you own it, or are authorised by its registered owner to sell it, and that everything you say about it is true. UKKI retrieves the registration record, checks for pending challans, finance and other matters affecting title, and may ask for proof of your right to sell. You must tell us about any loan or hypothecation on the car. UKKI may decline, edit for accuracy, pause or remove any listing.
06.Inspections
No car is shown to buyers until an inspection report on it has been reviewed and approved by UKKI. An inspection may be carried out by an inspector UKKI appoints or by a guided self-inspection that UKKI reviews. A report records what was observed and recorded on the day of inspection. It is not a warranty, a guarantee of future condition or a valuation, and its full terms are in the Inspection Report Notice printed with every report.
07.Offers
A buyer may make an offer on a listed car, and the parties may counter until one of them accepts. An offer lapses if it is not answered within the period shown in the app, after which either party may make a fresh one. An accepted offer creates a deal on UKKI. It is not itself a contract of sale: the sale is made by the agreements described in clause 9.
08.Messages and contact details
Messages sent through UKKI are screened, and phone numbers, email addresses and similar details are removed from them. The other party's full name, phone number and address are shown to you only once the buyer's payment for the car has been received by UKKI. You must not use UKKI to arrange a sale of the car outside UKKI, or to avoid its fees.
09.The deal
A deal moves through the steps shown on it, which may include a viewing, optional extras, the agreements, payment, documents, handover and registration transfer. The seller signs a Sale Agreement and the buyer signs a Purchase Agreement, by Aadhaar eSign where it is offered or by uploading a signed copy. Each step has a deadline shown in the app. If the buyer's payment is not received within its deadline the deal is cancelled; other missed deadlines are notified to both parties and to UKKI.
10.Money
The buyer pays for the car by bank transfer to UKKI's account shown in the app, and the money is held by UKKI until it is paid out to the seller as set out in the Payment Policy and the agreements. Part of the price may come from a lender or from the sale of the buyer's own car, as shown on the deal. You must never pay for a car on UKKI to anybody other than UKKI.
11.Fees and taxes
UKKI charges the facilitation fees, service charges and taxes shown in the deal's breakdown before you are asked to proceed, and nothing that is not shown there. GST is charged on UKKI's fees. Tax is deducted or collected at source where the law requires it, and the relevant certificate is issued to you. A promotional code reduces UKKI's own fees only and never changes the price agreed between buyer and seller.
12.Extras and partner services
Extended warranties, loan assistance, insurance, transport and similar services may be offered on a deal. Where a partner provides the service, its own terms also apply, and UKKI is responsible only for arranging it and for the price shown.
13.Documents and handover
Statutory transfer forms (such as RTO Forms 29 and 30, and Form 35 where a loan is closed) are signed in ink and collected in person by a document collector UKKI appoints. A car changes hands only against a one-time handover code issued in the app. The buyer must check the car at handover and either accept it or raise a dispute within the acceptance window shown in the app; if the buyer does neither, the car is treated as accepted when that window closes.
14.Registration transfer
UKKI arranges the transfer of the registration certificate into the buyer's name through a partner, using the documents collected. The time taken depends on the Regional Transport Office concerned and is outside UKKI's control. Both parties must provide any further document or signature the Regional Transport Office asks for.
15.Cancellation
Either party may withdraw an offer before it is accepted. A deal may be cancelled on the terms of the Sale Agreement and Purchase Agreement, which set out when a cancellation charge applies and what is refunded. Before you confirm a cancellation, UKKI shows you what it will cost and what will be refunded. An account that cancels deals repeatedly may be blocked from starting new deals for a period.
16.Disputes between buyer and seller
If a car does not match its listing or its inspection report in a material way, the buyer may raise a dispute through the app within the acceptance window. UKKI will review the evidence from both parties and may withhold, adjust or reverse a payout while it does. UKKI's decision is given in good faith but does not prevent either party from pursuing their rights under law.
17.Your conduct
You must not post false or misleading information, impersonate anybody, list a stolen car or a car you have no right to sell, interfere with the platform or other users, scrape or copy UKKI's content, or use UKKI for any unlawful purpose. UKKI may suspend or close an account that does.
18.Content you provide
You keep ownership of photographs and other content you upload. You give UKKI a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display it, including on partner classified sites, for as long as it is needed to operate the marketplace and as described in the Privacy Policy.
19.Limitation of liability
UKKI is a facilitator of transactions between buyers and sellers. To the extent the law allows, UKKI is not liable for the condition of a car beyond what its approved inspection report records, for a party's failure to perform, or for any indirect or consequential loss. UKKI's total liability to you in connection with any deal is limited to the fees you have paid UKKI on that deal. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
20.Suspension and closure
You may close your account from your account settings at any time, subject to completing or cancelling any deal in progress. UKKI may suspend or close an account for a breach of these terms, for a failed verification, or where the law requires. Records are kept after closure as described in the Privacy Policy.
21.Complaints
You can raise a complaint with UKKI as set out in the Grievance Redressal notice.
22.Changes to these terms
UKKI may publish a new version of these terms. The version in force when you accept an offer or sign an agreement governs that deal. We will tell you about a material change before it applies to you.
23.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights as a consumer to approach a consumer commission, the courts at Chennai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
